Science Scholars Monthly: A Semester of Discovery

It has been an exhilarating start to the year as our young scientists across Grades 1–8 explore the fundamental forces of the natural world. Our curriculum has spanned the deep interior of our planet with the Layers of the Earth and transitioned into the biological complexity of Photosynthesis and the Circulatory System. We have also delved into the fascinating world of Rock Formations, investigating how igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks tell the story of our planet’s history. In Grade 8, students are already mastering the mathematical logic of Chemical Equations, applying the Law of Conservation of Mass through rigorous practice. These foundational topics are being brought to life through hands-on, phenomenon-based learning that challenges students to think like real-world investigators.

I am incredibly excited to continue this journey with such a curious and energetic group of students. My goal for the rest of the semester is to keep the momentum high with a calendar full of “aha!” moments and interactive labs. I am looking forward to leading even more fun, engaging classes where we roll up our sleeves for experiments that turn complex theories into unforgettable, hands-on discoveries.
