Week 7 -Creativity in Action: Senior High Art Class

It’s been fantastic to see the energy and creativity coming alive in our Senior High Art class! From building strong fundamentals through mini lessons to diving into full creative projects, students have been exploring a wide range of artistic expressions. Whether they’re painting vibrant posters, designing playful prints for coffee mugs, crafting colorful fans, or sketching simple yet meaningful pencil drawings, each piece reflects unique individuality and imagination.
What stands out most is how students are stepping away from the rigid structure of traditional academics and embracing the freedom to create. Art offers a space to relax, experiment, and express thoughts and emotions in ways that words sometimes cannot.
Although I currently teach Literature and Language Arts, art has always been a personal passion of mine. I still remember the enjoyment and inspiration I felt from my own art teachers back in junior and senior high school—those moments really stay with you.
So, while it’s essential to stay focused on core classes, don’t forget to engage in the creative process. Keep experimenting, stay curious, and, most importantly, enjoy making art.
Keep up the great work!
