{"id":2522,"date":"2026-03-17T07:42:52","date_gmt":"2026-03-16T23:42:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ntia.ctbc.edu.tw\/?post_type=news&#038;p=2522"},"modified":"2026-05-13T07:46:32","modified_gmt":"2026-05-12T23:46:32","slug":"week-4-pbl","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/ntia.ctbc.edu.tw\/?news=week-4-pbl","title":{"rendered":"Week 4 -PBL"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Our Grade 5 and Grade 6 students have just launched into an exciting Project-Based Learning (PBL) filmmaking unit, and the enthusiasm has been fantastic to see! From the very beginning, students have taken ownership of their learning by organizing themselves into four key production roles: Director, Head of Photography, Scriptwriter\/Storyboarder, and Project Manager. While each role has a clear focus, students understand that filmmaking is a collaborative process, and these roles will naturally overlap as they support one another and work as creative teams.<br>Although the course has only just begun, students are already starting to explore the world of filmmaking. Over the coming weeks, they will experiment with multimedia tools, cameras, and digital media software, developing both technical skills and creative confidence. A major part of the process will involve planning and storyboarding their ideas, helping them turn imaginative concepts into structured, visual narratives.<br>Students will choose from a range of nine different project options, including creating a commercial, producing a documentary, or crafting their own short film. Each final piece will be between 1\u20135 minutes in length. As part of the project, students will also be introduced to exciting AI-powered tools, such as CapCut, which they can use to generate video and image content to enhance their productions.<br>By the end of the unit, each group will have created a short film that meets the project objectives. Most importantly, students will have had the opportunity to express themselves creatively and freely, building confidence, collaboration skills, and a real sense of pride in their work.
